Le Biricoccole is a brand new farm house in the Northern Maremma, in Tuscany, just in the middle of the area called “Costa degli Etruschi”, 1 km from the seaside called “Le spiagge bianche”.
The farmhouse is organized in a country house of the beginning of the19h century, entirely restored but keeping the beam and arched ceiling. It’s an old country house of the reclamation ordered by Leopoldo, partly inhabited by Mrs Rosa Maria and her family.
Ours are mainly old fruits cultivations and, owing to the peculiarity of this cultivation, there was a transmission on our farm during the programme “Linea Verde Orizzonti” in date 30-3-2003. The intention of Linea Verde’s director was to present a farm house in contrast with the current OGM production. The presentation was transmitted after a Minister Alemanno’s speech for the regulation about the commercialization of genetically modified fruit, vegetables and cereals.
