Vada, a village of fishermen, farmers, workers and friendly people
The agriturismo Le Biricoccole is located in the centre of the "Etruscan Coast", 1 km from the sea, in the small village of Vada, in the upper Maremma region of Tuscany, an ancient Etruscan port that allowed trade with the flourishing Volterra.
Today Vada is a small fishing village and therefore not congested by traffic.
There are all the necessary services for your stay, restaurants, bars, pizzerias, hairdressers, beauticians, pharmacy, various shops, two supermarkets and the large Church of San Leopoldo.
Every evening there is an event to entertain locals and guests in the only square.
Every week there are markets with typical products and a traditional market.
The sea that everyone envies
White Beaches 1 km away
Bicycling to the beach: our own Caribbean, you might say, and indeed the effect is similar. The white sand, continuing along the seabed, reflects the sunlight and turns the sea a soft green. The effect is that of a Polynesian atoll, a curious change of scenery in a stretch of coastline that still has a number of dunes and interesting vegetation. The seaside resort of Vada boasts a 5 km long beach. The beach is mostly free, but at the point in front of the Biricoccole it is equipped with daily hire of umbrellas and deckchairs. The equipped beach also has showers and toilets.
The pinewoods of Vada 1 km away
They are right next to the white beaches and you can find small restaurants and pizzerias that allow you to stay at the beach all day long and cool down.
Calafuria cliffs 15 km
This is one of the most beautiful spots on the Etruscan coast, as it is possible to reach the sea by descending steep cliffs created by the erosion of the winds and the sea.
Fortullino beach 10 km
This is a pebble beach, surrounded by dense and impenetrable Mediterranean scrub, accessible only by the paths that cross it.
Castiglioncello 4 Km
The sea here has a reef of lava rock erupted by the Poggio Pelato volcano millions of years ago.
Beaches where dogs are allowed
In front of the farmhouse, 1 km away, you can bring your dogs.
